MULE DEER:
Mule deer hunting is our first love; By far one of the most challenging hunts available with any weapon especially a bow. Spot and stalk mule deer hunting for trophy bucks is a great time. Being in good physical condition will greatly increase the chance for opportunity and success. Scouting is key for big mule deer.
Canyons West primarily hunts mule deer in units 6, 7, 8, 10, and 14: outstanding units home to the largest deer herds in the state, and known for consistently producing quality bucks.
We employ knowledgeable guides with years of experience hunting these units, which has resulted in 100% opportunity hunts with high success rates.
Our method of hunting is generally spot and stalk, so expect to do some hiking when hunting. However, field transportation consists primarily of 4x4 vehicles including trucks, UTV/ATV, 4wheeler and snowmobile if necessary.
Average bucks harvested are in the 24-28 inch category with the occasional 30” class buck taken.
